Eira Bjørnstad Foss has a master’s degree in music performance from NTNU in Trondheim. She is currently living in Trondheim and is working in the field of contemporary composed music and improvisation.
She is a key figure in the contemporary composed music scene in Norway, both as a performer and a curator. She has performed commissioned pieces written especially for her as a soloist with Trondheim Sinfonietta, and has performed more than 30 world premieres by young creative composers from all over the world with her ensemble Tøyen Fil og Klafferi. Their debut recording, Botanisk Hage, was nominated for the Norwegian Grammy in 2021 for the best contemporary music album of the year.
Recent collaborations include projects with Mats Gustafsson, Trondheim Sinfonietta and Trondheim Jazzorkester, as well as upcoming performances with Ultima Music Festival, Music Unlimited Wells and the Kongsberg Jazz Festival. In the fall of 2022 she will start her work as a research fellow at The Department of Music at NTNU in Trondheim.

Ida is a premiered accordionist. Amongst her many prizes is the 1st prize from the ”International Competition for Accordion Soloists” in Belgium, 2012. She has given solo concerts all over the world from China to Canada, France, Russia and Germany, and collaborated with composers such as Sofia Gubaidulina with the new edition on her solo work “Et Expecto”. Her almost unlimited repertoire spans from contemporary- to folk music through tango, jazz and classical music. She is a founding member of the jazz orchestra “Skadedyr” and has worked as Kapellmeister on tour with Malmø Opera.
In February 2016 she graduated with Advanced Postgraduate Diploma at The Royal Danish Academy of Music with great reviews. The concert was broadcasted at the Danish national radio. Ida has received several awards such as Ticon Musikkstipend and Arts Council Norway’s Government Grants for Young Artists.
Hidle has a strong passion for introducing contemporary music to a larger audience. She is eager to present this music in a way so that everyone may relate to its sounds and ideas. Therefore she might read poems or act as a part of her musical performances. It is also very important to her to present high quality contemporary music with musical and technical professionalism.

Matilda Rolfsson (b. 1987.) is a Swedish improviser and percussionist based in Trondheim, Norway. With a distingue sound and textural approach on her 20” bass drum, percussion and snare Matilda can be heard solo or in constellations with some of Europe and Scandinavia’s finest improvising musicians and choreographers/dancers.
Together with vocalist Maggie Nicols and pianist Lisa Ullén she forms the trio; Trio Generations.
Currently Matilda is active as an artistic researcher at NTNU with the project “In Motion, Movements with Direction” where she in company with dancers develops and deepens an artistic praxis of interdisciplinary interplay in free – improvisation.
